வடபழனி முருகன் கோவிலுக்கு இன்று(30-Aug-2007) கும்பாபிஷேகம். சுமார் ஒன்றரை கோடி ரூபாய் செலவில் விமரிசையாக நடைபெறுகிறது. தமிழகத்தின் வெவ்வேறு பகுதிகளிலிருந்து சிவாச்சாரியார்கள் ஓதுவார் பெருமக்கள் எல்லோரும் வந்து விமரிசையாக நடத்தி வைக்கிரார்கள். பல ஆயிரம் மக்கள் திரண்டு வந்து தரிசிப்பர். தொலைக்காட்சி சானல்கள், மற்றும் வானொலியிலும் நேரடி ஒளி/லிபரப்பு நடைபெறும்.
